For most people, it is not just medically possible but the truth is, because men have breast tissue, they can develop breast cancer.
The breasts of an adult man are similar to the breasts of a girl before puberty. In girls, this tissue grows and develops, but in men, it doesn’t.
Men also get the same types of breast cancers that women do, but cancers involving the parts that make and store milk are rare.
Most breast cancers happen to men between the ages of 60 and 70, while it remains a rare occurrence in men under 35 of age.
Whether or not we like it, the fact still remains that men suffering from breast cancer is not at all a fiction of our imagination.
It is a reality that faces us all in the face and it is therefore up to us to remove any factor that can bring it into manifestation in our lives.
According to Breast Cancer dot Org:
Less than 1% of all breast cancers occur in men. In 2017, about 2,470 men are expected to be diagnosed with the disease. For men, the lifetime risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000.
So stay healthy, go for checkup regularly and should you notice a lump on your chest, go consult your doctor fast.
