That is why Naturally Healthy Talk as a weight loss blog was created. An online space aimed at educating people on various weight loss topics and also, for providing tips to help them attain their best shape.
As the best Nigerian weight loss Blog in the country. You should expect nothing but the best content when it comes to loosing weight.

This blog will teach you about different weight loss ideas or rather methods, like intermittent fasting.
Intermittent fasting is my personal go to super power when ever I feel like loosing some extra pounds. It works every time and it is one method you will find sprinkled in all my weight loss advice.
So what is Intermittent Fasting?
Intermittent fasting or (IF) is an eating pattern that is structured between periods of fasting and eating. It is more about when you are allowed to eat than about what you eat.
You fast for designated hours and then eat during the feeding widow. That is usually between 6 to 8 hours.
This is a fat burning method like no other. A method backed by many studies that has also proven that (IF) can cause serious weight loss, improve your metabolic health and protect against disease. Which when added together can perhaps help you live longer. [1, 2]
These are the most popular methods:
- The 16/8 method: Also called the Leangains protocol, it involves skipping breakfast and restricting your daily eating period to 8 hours, such as 1–9 p.m. This is the method i started with. But these days it has become easy reducing the eating window to just 4 hours.
- Eat-Stop-Eat: This involves fasting for 24 hours, once or twice a week. I have never tried this method for weight loss before.
- The 5:2 diet: With this methods, you consume only 500–600 calories on two non-consecutive days of the week, but eat normally the other 5 days. I personally think it is too much work, calculating calories.
We shall explore the different frontiers where intermittent fasting meets weight loss. And hopefully the discoveries would help you understand how best to loose weight.
I want the blog to go beyond just tips. I want a blog where over weight people can come and learn something new about their condition. And that something new, being an important find would help them make better lifestyle choices.
I want the site to be a place where all kind of topics on obesity is rife. A resource to help on the different levels of fat gain. A site that teaches about causes, like the post on the causes of belly fat that was written some days back.
And fact be told, that is what this Nigerian Weight loss Blog is all about.
Often times we go online looking for solutions. But end up getting fed with false tips that are wrong on so many levels.
For instance there are lots of Nigerians out there who are bothered with their fat status but go about loosing those stubborn fats the wrong way. They look for exercises to loose belly fat instead of how to properly diet.
Here on Naturally Healthy Talk, we teach facts. We pour the data before our readers and allow them to “self educate” without forcing any product or idea down their throat’s.
We are also here to help you realize the dangers of becoming overweight and obese. How body weight can lead to diabetes which in turn, would lead to chronic diseases.
Obesity is believed to account for 80-85% of the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, while in another recent research, it was suggested that obese people are 80 times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those with a BMI of less than 22. 3
Body mass index has a strong relationship to diabetes and insulin resistance. In obese individuals, the amount of nonesterified fatty acids, glycerol, hormones, cytokines, proinflammatory markers, and other substances that are involved in the development of insulin resistance, is increased. 4
And if you are pregnant, excess weight may lead to short- and long-term health problems for you and your child.
The whole idea is not to scare you but to update you with the facts. The truth that you are on a path leading to a terrible tomorrow haunted by sickness and diseases. 5
A tomorrow in which, being overweight could make you diabetic and eventually lead to blindness and heart attack. These are facts.
Conclusively this Nigerian Weight loss Blog is where you come to get educated on weight loss and the issues related to being overweight and obese.
